Magnificent macro!
ReplyDeleteIs that a sunflower?
Have a wonderful day!

Lea's Menagerie
You got it Lea, it is most definitely a sunflower. Not open yet, but soon.
DeleteThanks Gunilla.
ReplyDeleteLovely!

Thanks for dropping by Mrs BC.
DeleteBeautiful sunflower :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa. I have about 40 of them in my back yard getting ready to bloom.
DeleteWow such a great close up - very talented!
ReplyDeleteThanks but the plant deserves all the credit :)
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Wordless Wednesday: How I Spent My Summer Vacation.
Amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristy!
DeleteStunningly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trish, I can hardly wait until it opens!
DeleteGorgeous. A flower changes so much from a small bud to a fully fledged flower, and then to seed. It is worth taking the time to see and appreciate it at every stage :)
ReplyDeleteAlicia you are totally tight. I've got lots of ammunition now for weeks of macro photos.
Deletelove the colour!
ReplyDeleteI planted mostly red sunflowers so it is interesting how early one can tell that this is going to be yellow, well at least I assume it is though the petals are not showing yet...
DeleteI love the diagonals!
ReplyDeleteOne of the great things about macros is the patterns they bring out that we otherwise miss, isn't it?
DeleteGosh that is a very clever close up photo - at first I was wondering if it was a "Corn on the Cob" :) then looked and realised it was a sunflower.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I am growing corn right beside the sunflowers so stay tuned in coming weeks and I'll try and get one of the corn for you.
Deleteawesome pic
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
