MEXICO VACATION FLOWERS

Today I am sharing photos of the flowers that were blooming in Mexico two weeks ago while I was there on vacation. 

This was a full hedge.

Cool starfish-like flower on a cactus.

  1. Lovely photos! Soon the snow will melt and we'll have some blossoms of our own. I think some of the plants are (from bottom to top): Duranta repens, Vinca minor (does indeed look like an impatiens), Thunbergia grandiflora, Urechites lutea, Stapelia sp., Mirabilis sp., Alpinia purpurata, Euphorbia milii. Not sure what the top one is

    the first flower is called "Ixora coccinea" belongs to the Rubiaceae family.
    Ixora can be found in many tropical countries including Mexico.

  7. All your photos are amazingly beautiful..... The plant in the second photo is Euphorbia ( crown of thorns ) i have many of them in my garden. the plant in the sixth photo is a four 0' clock flower. The third from the last is vinca.
